The Indoor Range is only open to current members that are over the age of 21 that have a valid registered firearm with the Honolulu/Maui/Hawaii/Kauai Police Department. You must bring your firearm, registration papers, and valid photo ID to show proof of ownership. If you need information on how to do this you may contact us or the Firearms Division at the Honolulu Police Department at (808) 529-3521.
Range Hours for Current Members
- 11 am - 8 pm Mon - Sat
Firearms allowed at our range:
- Handguns up to 500 S&W (Handguns modified to use rifle caliber ammunition prohibited)
- Rifles up to 7.62x39mm
- Shotguns, up to 12 GA
What can be done at our range?
- Almost anything can be practiced at our range as long as it’s safe. We don’t have a restriction on how many rounds must be in the mag (Hawaii State Laws still apply to mag capacity) or how fast you should shoot. However, you need to regulate your speed to your skill level. Anybody can shoot fast, however shooting fast and accurately (that means actually hitting the target and not everything else such as the floor or walls) is a skill that takes a lot of practice.
- If you are shooting uncontrollably and can not hit the target 90% of the time, you will be asked to stop and shoot at a more slower pace or asked to leave.
- You will be charged for any damage to the target bar or any damaged items if there is any damage as a result of unsafe rapid fire shooting. We reserve the right to revoke any memberships or suspend memberships for a period of 90 days as deemed necessary.
- L.E or Military type tactics, IPSC/IDPA, holster draws, etc. permitted to qualified individuals only. You must be a member of IPSC, IDPA, USPSA, and completed a101 class to practice holster draws, or LE/Military. Repect your neighbors and demonstrate safe handling of firearms.
- All firearms must be cleared at our clearing box before and after you use our range, this is mandatory and will be checked by our staff.
Items that are prohibited from our range (See Hawaii State Law Chapter 134 for definitions)
- Assault pistols and automatic firearms
- Black Powder firearms
- Pistol magazines that exceeds 10 rounds (Except L.E.)
- Reloaded ammunition (Permitted for Range Members only)
Please remember safety is our top priority and you must obey all firearm safety rules as well as our range rules. If we work together to be as safe as possible, everyone will have a fun and friendly environment to enjoy the shooting sports, let's not ruin it for everyone.
If you have not completed a Handgun Safety Course in the State of Hawaii or Hawaii Hunter Education course, you must rent firearms from our Gun Club.
